6 New Nail Art Trends From The Catwalks

Essential parts of the fashion caravan are the creative nail artists who are contributing with their creations. Their inspirational creations have always been the basis for new trends on the nails, and some of the key trends for next spring / summer are:

1. Geometric patterns
The eccentric Gareth Pugh used irregular horizontal black-and-white Minx lines, at Nicole Miller show models wore colorful checkerboard, Essie made vertical pink stripes on white paint for Rebecca Minkoff, while on Ruffian show, diagonal stripes on nails matched with playful creations.

2. White lacquer

Most of the designers used bright colors for the upcoming spring and summer collections which were complemented with the easy-cropped nails. Nail paint color, which ranged from the classic to the unusual red and mustard yellow was often aligned with the dominant color of the collection, the color of lipstick or eyeshadow. Farah Angsana used a similar idea, which is predominantly white tones to complement the creation of a completely white finish, while on the Odillona show was seen an interesting combination: white lacquer in combination with a transparent, nude crescent on the root of the nail.

3. Nude shades
Ethereal ballerina pink shades or completely nude nails with just a little shiny topcoat were seen on dozens of shows, from Lanvin, Hermes, YSL, Gucci, Altuzarra ...

4. Contrasts on the tops

The popular half-moon manicure trend gets a new variation: hue-based nail in contrast with the hue applied to the peaks. At the launch of the new Norman Ambrose collection was created a rich red and gold combination, while for The Blonds fashion show was made more than twenty different sets, further decorated with a fine detail.

5. Ombre nails
Ubiquitous ombre trend, apparently, from hairdressing salon moves on nails. The best example of this gradation or transition between tones was created backstage at Jenny kao fashion show, where indigo blue hue in combination with black was seen.

6. Creative textures
With the explosion of colors, the texture trend on the nails also continues next spring. Lace texture was created for Joanna Mastroianni show, while Joy Cioci combined mesh print with transparent nail tips. Creative Minx samples, seen in dozens of shows, are just one more confirmation of this trend.
